Countable pressure metered dose inhaler (pMDI), can record the number of inhaled doses, and can be customized according to customer requirements (CDMO)

Basic structure and working principle

pMDI is an aerosol device for quantitative delivery of drugs to the lungs. It consists of three parts: a metal container, a quantitative valve and a spray head (or mouthpiece). The metal container is used for filling formula drugs, the quantitative valve is used to ensure the stability of the spray dose, and the nozzle is used to make the drug aerosol be inhaled into the respiratory tract. The metal drug storage tank contains three components: formula drug, propellant and auxiliary materials. By pressing the valve, the drug and propellant are sprayed out in the form of aerosol, wherein the propellant is the energy source for pMDI to form and release drug aerosol.

The aerosol droplets instantaneously ejected from pMDI are actually composite droplets composed of drugs, propellants and excipients.
