Soft mist inhaler unit (SMI)
Product Details
Soft Mist Inhalation Device (SMI)
A propellant-free inhaler that uses mechanical power to deliver a single or multiple dose aerosol of an inhalable drug to a patient in the form of a slow mist. Compared with traditional inhalers, SMIs can release aerosols for a longer time and more slowly, with less ballistic effect, resulting in limited losses in the oropharyngeal area, while requiring little coordination of patient actuation and inhalation.
Working principle
The soft mist inhalation device is a unique inhalation preparation. The main technical principle is to convert the mechanical energy generated by the compression of the rotating base into power to provide the energy required for the formation and release of drug aerosols. At the same time, through the microfluidic chip quantitative and unique liquid medicine jet collision principle, a unique soft mist is formed at a specific angle.
Functional features
The soft mist inhalation device can achieve a slower operating speed of about 0.8 m/s, and the aerosol duration is longer, about 1.5 s, thus reducing the oropharyngeal deposition rate and facilitating synergistic inhalation.

① Rotate the transparent base until it makes a "click" sound (rotate half a turn). ② Open the dust cap. ③ Exhale slowly and fully. ④ Hold the end of the suction nozzle with your mouth, while inhaling slowly and deeply with your mouth, press the upper drug release button, and then inhale the drug as slowly and continuously as possible. ⑤ Take out the suction nozzle after inhaling, and immediately hold your breath for about 5-10 seconds (longer time that can be tolerated). ⑥ Repeat the steps of rotating, opening and pressing to inhale 2 presses. |
